Legal supervision and ensuring justice within the academic environment
The Legal Affairs Division oversees legal matters within the College, providing legal supervision over academic and administrative operations in accordance with Iraqi laws and regulations, particularly those related to the discipline of employees and students. This division functions as both an advisory and executive body, aiming to safeguard the institution’s rights and represent it before competent judicial authorities.
Legal Representation
Representing the College before courts and judicial bodies in various legal cases.
Participation in Investigative Committees
Active participation in investigative committees formed by the College or University Presidency.
Legal Consultation
Providing legal opinions on matters referred by the Dean and various units.
Student Discipline Committee
Supervising the implementation of student discipline regulations under university legislation.
Contract and Agreement Review
Reviewing contracts and agreements, and following up on legal matters related to advances and university loans.
Legal Case Follow-up
Liaising with security and judicial authorities regarding cases filed by or against the College.
Reports and Memoranda
Drafting legal reports and memoranda for submission to higher authorities as required.
