General Tasks:
- Requesting updated lists of books and journals and distributing them to specialists for selection and recommendations.
- Carrying out procedures for purchasing textbooks, new references, and journal subscriptions, and arranging their binding.
- Providing the necessary references in the reading hall.
- Exchanging theses, publications, and journals with other colleges and corresponding institutions.
- Registering new books in records and stamping them with the library’s official seal.
- Maintaining records of journals and scientific periodicals.
Cataloging and Classification:
- Cataloging new books and journals according to the university’s approved cataloging systems.
- Registering theses, preparing disbursement documents, and classifying them.
- Rearranging and organizing indexes of books and theses.
- Compiling journals according to publication years and sending them for binding.
- Classifying new books according to scientific and academic specializations.
- Printing and duplicating catalog cards in all three types (Author – Title – Subject).
- Issuing a periodic bulletin with book data, distributing it, and reviewing feedback received.
