The Department of Physics is one of the core departments of the College of Science, focusing on the study of natural phenomena and the scientific principles that govern them. The department aims to provide an educational and research environment that enables students to develop their understanding of physical sciences and their applications across diverse fields.

Department Activities include:

Education:
The department offers academic programs covering the fundamental principles of Physics such as Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Heat, Thermodynamics, Nuclear and Modern Physics, among others. These subjects are taught through lectures, laboratory sessions, and seminars.

Scientific Research:
Faculty members and students engage in research activities in various areas of Physics, including Theoretical and Applied Physics, Modern Physics, and Nuclear Physics.

Community Service:
The department provides physics-related consultation services to industry as well as governmental and private institutions. It also offers training courses and scientific seminars in different areas of Physics.

International Collaboration:
The department seeks to establish collaborative relationships with international universities and research institutions to exchange expertise and knowledge, and to conduct joint research projects.

Through these efforts, the Department of Physics at the College of Science, Tikrit University strives to achieve excellence in education, scientific research, and community service, while equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their chosen fields.

Vision

رؤية قسم الفيزياء في كلية العلوم بجامعة تكريت تتمثل في أن يكون مركزًا رائدًا للتعليم والبحث العلمي في مجال الفيزياء، وأن يساهم بفاعلية في تحقيق التقدم العلمي والتطور التكنولوجي وتطوير المجتمع. تركز رؤية القسم على النقاط التالية:

تميز التعليم: يسعى القسم إلى تقديم برامج تعليمية متميزة تمتاز بالجودة والتحديث وتلبي احتياجات سوق العمل وتطلعات الطلاب، وتعزز قدراتهم الفكرية والمهنية.
البحث العلمي الرائد: يهدف القسم إلى تعزيز البحث العلمي في مختلف فروع الفيزياء، وتشجيع الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس على إجراء أبحاث مبتكرة ونشر النتائج في المجلات العلمية ذات السمعة العالية.
التطبيقات العملية: يسعى القسم إلى ربط النظريات الفيزيائية بالتطبيقات العملية في مجالات متعددة مثل الصناعة والطاقة والطب، وتعزيز التعاون مع القطاع الصناعي لتطوير تطبيقات عملية للأبحاث الفيزيائية.
الابتكار وريادة الأعمال: يشجع القسم على تنمية روح الابتكار وريادة الأعمال بين الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، ودعم الأفكار والمشاريع الريادية في مجال الفيزياء.
المسؤولية الاجتماعية: يلتزم القسم بدور فعّال في خدمة المجتمع، سواء من خلال تقديم الاستشارات الفيزيائية أو المشاركة في مشاريع التنمية المحلية.

بهذه الرؤية، يسعى قسم الفيزياء في كلية العلوم بجامعة تكريت إلى أن يكون محورًا للتميز الأكاديمي والبحثي والابتكار في مجال الفيزياء، وأن يساهم بفاعلية في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وتطوير المجتمع على المستوى المحلي والإقليمي والدولي.
